Frequently asked questions
Which PDFs work best?
PDFs with real text arranged in clear rows and columns, such as reports and statements. Merged cells and very tight columns can be split or joined incorrectly.
What if no table is found?
You will be told and no file is created. Try PDF to Word for running text.
Are numbers converted?
Plain numbers, including 1,234.50 and (123), become numeric cells. Currencies, percentages and dates stay as text.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Not directly. Run OCR PDF first, then convert the searchable result.
Are my files uploaded to your server?
No. This tool runs in your browser using JavaScript that is served from this website. Your file is read on your own device and the result is created there too. File contents are not sent to this website.
Results may differ slightly from the original file. Always check the output before using it.
